The virus causes AIDS (aquired immunodeficiency syndrome) which disables the immune system, paving the road toopportunistic infections and other diseases. HIV/AIDS (something) and continues to be a source of discrimination due to many misconceptions associated with it. Cause: HIV virus. Death toll: 25-35m. Impact: Boosted safe sex education and safer medical practices worldwide."
