Hong Kong
Scott 1762
Although the ribbon on this stamp is green, the announcement about this stamp series made it clear the ribbon referred to the AIDS awareness badge the girls can earn. The other stamps in the series are about the Girl Guides and not related to AIDS. There is a souvenir sheet (Scott #1765a) for the set, but there's nothing AIDS-related on the sheet. Save your money and just buy the stamp.
Sierra Leone
Scott 3957
It's worth mentioning that Sierra Leone engaged in extreme excess stampage around this time period. Literally thousands of stamps on a variety of collectable topics were released. It is extremely unlikely most of these were sold in country and/or valid for local postage. Although the Scott guide has given them catalog numbers, their actual value as collectables is dubious at best. This is a good example of such a release as Nelson Mandela is found on a large number of these stamps.
This particular souvenir sheet features two images of Mandela both of whichare wearing AIDS ribbons. The larger image's shirt also has AIDS text that reads, "Give 1 minute of your life to AIDS".
